What Is Candy AI Shorts? The Format, Explained

Updated · By Alexander P.

What is Candy Shorts? Candy.ai's shelf of scripted AI series in vertical video, where an episode is a scene of about a minute. As of October 20, 2026, it holds 168 series, and episode 1 plays without an account in 153 of them. A weekly top 10 sits on the New page, subtitles cover six languages, and an episode can end with an offer to chat with its lead.

What is Candy Shorts? A scene, not a show

Episodes run about a minute or two. In the free episodes I timed, the last line of dialogue landed before the two-minute mark, with a median near 63 seconds. So an episode works like a single scene. Candy AI Shorts tells its stories in vertical video, and a typical Candy AI series has five episodes. Don't confuse it with the clothing brand of the same name.

The player is built for a phone held upright. On desktop it uses a 9:16 frame, and on mobile it fills about three quarters of the screen height. The scripts are written in advance, with a start, a middle and an end, so you watch these Candy Shorts videos without chatting to a character first. A series page offers no download link.

168 series on October 20: shelves, chips and outliers

As of October 20, 2026, the Candy Shorts section lists 168 series: 153 open and 15 Spicy (adult content). Among the open ones, 141 have five episodes. Two outliers stretch the format: My Bestie Betrayed Me runs 34 episodes and YES MA'AM now runs 30.

How I tested this:

  • Opening pair first: I watch the first two episodes of a series on Premium before I write a word, Spicy series included.
  • Later episodes come next: I sampled standard, Spicy and creator series to see whether the story holds beyond the free pair.
  • For the free route, I opened episode 1 without an account and registered when episode 2 asked.
  • I used the New page, the filter chips and the end-of-episode prompts the way a regular viewer would.

Above the grid sit 13 filter chips, each one a link. They include All series, New and Spicy, plus plot tags that run from Stepsister and Stepmom to Maid, Teacher, Fantasy, Taboo and Wife. The table shows where each piece of it lives.

The opening episodes of an open series cost no tokens, and what opens at each free step is spelled out on its own page. After that, tokens work like a meter: 12 per paid episode in most series, 30 on the creator shelf and up to 50 in a few Spicy ones, with plans and token costs covered separately.

What the New page shows: a weekly top 10 and Trending now

The New chip on Candy.ai opens a page called Brand new, with three rows: New episodes this week, Top 10 shows this week and Trending now. As of October 20, the first row holds the 12 series with the New badge. The second is Candy's own weekly top 10, and Candy doesn't state how it ranks the shows.

I treat that top 10 as the picture for one week, not a standing ranking. Spicy series took five of the ten spots on October 20, the first four among them: Accident with my Stepmom at number 1 and Tori's broken vows at number 2. Half of the week's ranked shows, in other words, sit behind Premium. The Trending now row sits below the top 10.

Looking for the name of a series from a teaser?

To name a series from a teaser, start with the top 10 and Trending now, then narrow the list with a plot chip such as Stepmom or Taboo. Each series page shows a poster and a short synopsis you can match against the clip. TikTok and Instagram clips are the usual starting point for the search.

The full episode plays in the Candy.ai player, where episode 1 of an open series opens without an account, while a teaser on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube is only a clip, and how to read those clips is explained in its own guide. Whether full episodes live anywhere else is the job of the page on where full episodes can be watched outside Candy.ai. Treat a clip as a pointer to a series, not as a source of facts about it.

The player: app, subtitles and chat

Candy.ai has no app file to download. The plans page and the Shorts page both offer Get App with one instruction, Add to Home Screen: on iPhone you use the Share menu, on Android the browser menu. So the CandyShorts app is a shortcut to the site, and a file sold as a Candy AI Shorts app download is not what the site offers.

Subtitles exist on 151 of the 153 open Candy Shorts series as of October 20. Of those, 94 carry six languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese) and 57 add Japanese, including all eight new open series. The two with none are Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right and Addicted to my stepdad.

Once an episode wraps, the player proposes a chat with the protagonist in 134 open series and a create-a-character option in 19. As of October 20, 68 series also show a Chat with the Cast option with a character's name. It is an experimental option, so treat 68 as the count for that day.

Who is behind it, and who is on screen?

Candy.ai is operated by EverAI Limited, a company based in Malta, under the Terms of Service in force today. The Shorts section is part of that platform and not a separate service. Whether that makes it safe to pay is a separate question, and the check on whether it is legit answers it.

The Candy Shorts cast is AI-generated: no real actresses film these scenes, and the platform describes its content as made entirely with AI. Each character is a fictional adult. In the 19 creator series, the name on the poster belongs to a licensed digital twin, not to a performer who took part. Background on each creator has the details.

My read on the format

My read: Candy AI Shorts works as a tidy shelf of AI-made stories for adults who like drama in two-minute pieces. Pick a plot chip you like, open episode 1 as a guest and judge it from there. Go by the free Candy Shorts episodes, not by a poster or a teaser.

Skip Candy Shorts if you want one long film, or if spending tokens bothers you: after the free pair, each episode has a price. The Spicy shelf is for readers who want fully explicit episodes, and it opens only with Premium.

More questions, short answers

What is Candy Shorts?

Candy Shorts is Candy.ai's section for scripted AI series in vertical video, with episodes lasting roughly one to two minutes. As of October 20, 2026, it lists 168 series, and the first episodes of the 153 open ones cost no tokens.

Is it made entirely with AI?

Yes. Candy.ai's 2257 exemption notice describes the platform's content as entirely AI-generated, and Candy Shorts is part of that platform. Creators are represented by licensed digital twins, and none of them performed in the series, so there are no actresses to find behind these episodes.

Does Candy AI have an app?

Not as a file. Candy.ai offers Get App on its pages with the instruction Add to Home Screen, which puts a shortcut on an iPhone or an Android phone. The series pages offer no download link.

Can I watch without talking to a character?

Yes. An episode plays in the Candy Shorts player with no chat at all, and the current help center article says watching leaves your chat history untouched. When it ends, the player proposes a chat with the protagonist in 134 open series and a create-a-character option in 19.

How do I find the name of a series from a teaser?

Check Top 10 shows this week and Trending now on the New page of Candy.ai, then narrow the list with a plot chip such as Stepmom or Taboo. Match the clip against the poster and synopsis on each series page to get the name.

Are there subtitles?

Yes, on most series. Subtitles exist on 151 of the 153 open ones as of October 20, 2026: 94 carry six languages and 57 add Japanese. Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right and Addicted to my stepdad have none.

Where can I watch Candy Shorts episodes?

On Candy.ai itself, through a browser tab or a shortcut on your home screen. Episode 1 of an open series plays without an account, and episode 2 wants a free registration. A teaser on a social app is a clip, not the episode.
