What this site hosts
The site publishes my own text, poster images of the series I review, creator images and short looping clips on some creator pages. The clips are silent and taken from creator profiles on candy.ai. It hosts no episodes, offers no downloads and takes no uploads or comments, so visitors cannot post anything here. It does not link to unofficial copies of episodes either.
Sending a copyright notice
Under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, a notice that meets 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3) is the way to ask for removal. Send it in writing to csseriesguide@gmail.com. A complete notice has six parts:
- Your signature, typed or handwritten, as the owner of the work or as someone authorized to act for the owner.
- A description of the copyrighted work you say was copied, detailed enough to identify it.
- The address of each page on this site that shows the material, so I can find it.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A written statement that you honestly believe the owner, the owner's agent or the law did not authorize this use.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that, under penalty of perjury, you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
A notice that skips one of these parts may not be enough for me to act on, so check the list before you send it.
What happens after a notice
I read each complete notice. If the claim holds, I remove the material or disable access to it and write back to say what I did. A notice that knowingly misstates the facts can make its sender liable for damages under the same law, so send one only when you mean it.
If material was removed by mistake
If something you own or posted was taken down and you believe that was an error, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Under 17 U.S.C. 512(g)(3), it includes:
- Your signature.
- A description of the removed material and of where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number.
- Your agreement to be brought before the federal court that covers your address, or a district where I can be found if you live outside the United States, and your agreement to receive legal papers from the person who sent the original notice.
I pass a valid counter-notice to the sender. The statute then allows the material to be restored in 10 to 14 business days, unless the sender tells me a court action has been filed.
Material on candy.ai
Episodes and the other material published on candy.ai are the responsibility of its operator, EverAI Limited, and a notice sent to this site cannot remove them from that platform. The company publishes its own DMCA Policy, and a Content Removal Policy for content that resembles a real person, on the Legal Information page of candy.ai.
