Room 742 lets one voice carry both free Candy Shorts episodes: the traveler talks, and the man she shares the room with mostly stays quiet. So far, the standoff in that hotel room is the whole show.
Room 742 on Candy Shorts, episode 1: a call to the front desk
The traveler's keycard opens room 742, and someone is already inside. They trade a flat claim and a flat refusal, then check the number again. She says the hotel just gave her this room and her card opened the door. We only hear her side of the call to the front desk, where she reports a man in the room and adds that she's looking right at him.
The desk can't fix it, going by her next lines: "Great. Perfect." She says she has been traveling since five that morning and announces she's going to change after twelve hours in the same clothes. She tells him not to be weird and notes he's very quiet. The episode closes with her wondering whether he plans to just stand there.
Episode 2: still waiting for an answer
Episode 2 runs just under a minute. It opens on her saying that was weird and that he could have said something. Then she answers someone with a quick hello, reacts with surprise and tells the stranger they're stuck here. She asks what he wants, then what his name is.
He doesn't give one. The closing line asks the silent man if he has anything to say yet.
One talker, one silent man
Neither guest is named in the free pair. The traveler does nearly all the talking, and the stranger is a man who answers with silence. Both are AI-made adults. The premise brings in his wife, who picked the traveler herself; what she wants from the two of them belongs to the paid episodes. What episodes 1 and 2 do is build the room first: a mix-up, a refusal to leave and a silence that someone has to fill.
The heat before the paywall
I put it at 4 on my five-level scale: the paid run gives explicit scenes a big chunk of its time. The free episodes stop short of real nudity or sex, even though one line announces a change of clothes. My five levels, spelled out, cover the rest of the scale.
Three paid episodes, 36 tokens
Check in as a guest for episode 1, add a free Candy.ai login for episode 2, and from episode 3 each stay costs 12 tokens on Candy Shorts. That totals 36 for the last three. The episode map shows where a Premium month's 100 tokens ends up, and watching without paying covers the route.
My verdict on a one-room story
Stay if you like a one-room setup where talk fills the silence, and if you'll wait for the story to open up. Ask for another room if you want a lot of characters early. Other Candy AI Shorts series with a wife at the center include His Wife, His Rules and The Man Next Door Knows.
